Announced July 28, 2010 by Amazon, the Kindle 3 is available in two versions, one with the only Wi-Fi and another with the ability to connect in 3G mode. Both models use the new E-ink display, "Pearl," a more powerful battery to 1750 mAh, 4 GB of internal memory, the modem AnyDATA DTP-600W 3G GSM and Wi-Fi card 802.11bg Atheros AR6102G.
The third generation of Kindle also supports other fonts and Unicode characters, also has received a browser based on WebKit engine.
